After the last spring game, Miami Hurricanes head coach Al Golden was cautiously optimistic. Golden felt that there were some things to work on but he was happy that there were no injuries. He also felt that there wasn’t much for the fans to see, but there was. The Hurricane faithful got to see a good look at quarterback Ryan Williams. Williams had a solid outing passing for 169 yards while completing 15 of 27 passes. He knows that he will have to be great when fall comes and he has the chance to compete with Stephen Morris for...

It’s been said that the only certainties in life are death and taxes. I would add a scandal at Miami to that short list. It seems like every few years, something unsavory rears its head at Miami. Recent history has proven that fact correct as the past 6 months have brought Hurricane fans a new scandal. Convicted swindler and Miami booster, Nevins Shapiro named names in an almost decades long boosting scandal. Shapiro alleged that he gave numerous illegal benefits to dozens of former and current Miami Hurricanes. The NCAA and the University of Miami launched joint investigations and...

Even with the announcement that they were not going to participate in a bowl game this year, the Hurricanes should have more pride in playing on Saturday; losing to a miserable Boston College team and dropping to below .500 in ACC play. BC was able to pick off quarterback Jacory Harris four times, which proved to be the key statistic of the game. On offense, BC was able to gain more first downs, nearly the same amount of total yards, and three less turnovers. Perhaps not too much should be read into this game, since many of the players...
